Two Palm Beach County School District high schools again placed in the top 100 high schools in the country by U.S. News and World Report in its recent Best High Schools Ranking.

Suncoast High School came in 61st in the top rankings in the nation and number six for the state's best program.

Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts was ranked 80th in the nation and 11th in the state.

The Best High School list is based on a wide variety of criteria such as teacher to student ratio, the college readiness of graduates and their math and reading test scores, the successes of the 'disadvantaged' students such as black, Hispanic and low-income students versus statewide results for these students and graduation rates.

Last year, Dreyfoos had a graduation rate of 99.1%, while Suncoast's was 100%.
